Graphite
It is a soft mineral of gray to black color, metalloid luster, excellent conductor of heat and electricity.
What is extracted from graphite?
Graphene is a substance composed of pure carbon, with atoms organized in a regular hexagonal pattern, similar to graphite. It is almost transparent material.
A one-atom-thick sheet is about 200 times stronger than the current strongest steel, its density about the same as that of carbon fiber, and about five times lighter than aluminum.
